Nice shot. The exposure on the water I think needs to be a little longer or shorter. A nuetral density filter might be the ticket for this shot to create a longer shutter speed. It's a personal taste thing for me and I could be the minority. This area looks like it has some nice potential. Where exactly is this?

It is amazing and wonderful that you can make an image in the morning and have it ready for printing a few hours later. Such things are possible in the chemical darkroom as well and by slowing the process the Mind is given the chance to add value. This is a satisfying image, well done. Consider applying a curve to bump the 3/4 tones at the top and open the shadows a bit more.

I'll have to disagree with Erik. I really like the exposure on the water. I think the water has a great texture to it. Everyone differs on that subject though so shoot it how you like it.

This is really a beautiful shot. I love the shutter speed and the little "falls" in the upper part of the stream... no major nits from me.

Thanks for the comments.....

1. I dont own a set of ND filters....
2. I did use the curve feature on this but I really dont know how the Curves work
3. This is north of Washougal along Washougal River Rd...just across the street from the Salmon Hatchery...
4. This place is pretty neat....I cant wait for some rain so there is more water going though there....lots of slots where the water runs...

Thanks for all the comments...

Cheers
D

You could loose the whole top third of this photo and I'd be all over it, Darren. The texture of the water and the shape, colors and texture of those rocks is killer!
