This is another shot from my trip to the UK. We stayed in the tiny village of Thwaite. This was shot on a morning walk just west of the village. I was amazed at how in England, public footpaths across private lands are everywhere. Really provides great access to wonderful views.

I love this - it looks so much like England. Great light and that awesome green. One suggestion would be to consider a 16:9 wide angle crop with no lower wall - it really opens it up for me without that wall framing the bottom of the image.

John, I think your right. One of the things that has bothered me about this image is the amount of negative space at the bottom. I most always keep to the 2:3 ratio, so I had not considered anything else.

Tim,
The greens, haze in the distance and the rock walls really makes this rock. I agree with John on the crop. It also has the 3d thing going. You should post this over in the Man & Nature forum.

Wow! Really sweet Tim! I like it as is. When you crop out the lower fence, you center the old house too much. I like the depth this version creates.

Man that is cool, I love the mistiness of the BG. Well done. I kinda like the FG wall though.

I'd go for the crop, Tim, in fact, crop out a little higher than the upper corner of the rock wall. That moves my eye up to the field beyond and gives the photo more depth, IMHO.
I was wondering where you had gone off to.
