fall foilage and family portrait

Would anyone recommend a good place (within 1hr from Boulder/Longmont) where I can take family picture in the outdoor Fall setting? My friend was asking me if I can take some family pictures for them (2 adults and 2 children < 6 years old).

A place I like to go, which should have some really good fall color soon, is Sawhill Ponds. I was thinking about heading there next weekend.

Oh heck, I'm trying to remember...There is a very nice aspen stand west off the Peak to Peak Highway between Ward and Nederland. People cram the highway there to get pictures. If you walk dowmn into the stand it is quite beautiful for a Front Range location. Quite crowded during the color season tho.

I drove hwy 72 this weekend (peak to peak) and most of the aspen are done, the rest are at peak. There won't be much left next weekend.
