"how long you had a micolight? Looks like you were up with it. " Tim, I was on a bridge
"this had got some great wing to wing sharpness for f5.6" M, sorry I read the wrong Exif, it should have been 100-400@235, f7.1 - sorry for the confusion.

Very good and slightly different to the usual flight shots.

I love this Terry. Your shot puts you up in the air with the heron. I think a bit of cloud really adds to a flight shot - much better than a uniform blue.

Nice one, this is the view I get in the mornings when my local Heron is circling vulture like around my pond looking for a meal.......now if only I could get a shot of him....
Excellent, the clouds in the sky take this up a notch, superb flight pose and viewpoint...

Hi Terry
Super flight shot, great light and detail in the heron, and the background is ideal. Yes for me this composition is a bit tight but if this is a crop then you have some pixels to play around with so that is good.
Nicely caught
cheers

A cracker of a shot Terry, everytime I get close to Herons they always fly away & never fly across the the camera's view.
A shot to be proud of IMO.

I like everthing about this shot!

this had got some great wing to wing sharpness for f5.6, almost has a wide angle quaility about it, maybe that's brought about by the crop.

The eye follows the wings nicely
