Gitzo has renewed its entire lineup!

Some of the new models are impressive, the new 5540 for example is no bigger than the 1548 but it carries 10 kg more

No doubt they are fine tripods, but this is one of the worst web sites I've ever seen! Slow, illogical, the back button doesn't work, no images in many cases, and the writing is WAY too small for my aging eyes. They must have gotten their competition to develop the site.

Still, I'd love to have one of their leg sets!

Hi Bill,
if you think that it is one of the worst web sites, you haven't seen their previous website :jump:

Anyway, this is a beta version so hopefully it will be improved ;-)

Any idea on price for the 5540?

My main dislike of my 1325 is the leg locks. The anti-rotation leg locks would be a boon. I finally gave up on their website trying to find if they had an upgrade of the 1325. I'm not in a great hurry, so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Their website has always been horrible.

The good news - they are adding the Anti-Leg Rotation to the 3 and 5 series. In my opinion, ALR is a big improvement.

The new locking mechanism is suppose to make them more stable by an entire series. For example, the new 2 series is as stable as a former 3.

They won't be availble until later this year, or early next year.
