and into the blog-o-sphere...
I have created a photoblog...although, in my fashion, i am trying to twist it into an anti-blog blog...most blogs are all about the publisher/author...this blog is about ideas about photography and landscape photography with the twist that the landscape photography and the ideas about photography are not only mine but also that of others who wish to participate...
some NPNers are already participating...see for yourself...
I like the precepts behind your blog Mark. Looking beyond "the pretty picture" as you put it is timely for a lot of folks, myself included. I especially appreciate the simple elegance and resulting fast page load, even on a slow dialup.

thanks for the feedback
Prashant - indeed, the flag is up, but, is anybody home?
I think I will be visiting often...I like the concept!

The idea seems to be working pretty well Mark especially with all the little tweaks in design you've been making over the last several days. I made a lame attempt at a photo blog (at e blogger..for free!) this past summer but found it difficult to just write about myself all the time. A co-op blog might work though.
My question to you is this: Are you going to post anything and everything that people send to you or have stricter editorial control over content? If it really took off you could have your hands full doing the tech stuff.

hey all - thanks again for the feedback
Mary - not everything submitted will get in ...i am the editor-in-chief after all...but, unless the submissions are overwhelming or overwhelmingly god-awful-bad, my intent is to let it all fly...
My main intent is to have lively and informed discussions about the medium of photography and its expressive possibilities - very light on the technical/technique side of things
and
to demonstrate how broad the genre of "landscape" can be/is...
thanks much for your participation to date...good stuff...
I like the idea of the blog. definatly something I'm going to subscribe to in my news reader. and maybe something I could contribute to in the near future :)

Nice.... I like the concept. I just put a blog on my site and tried to make it more like my site and less like a blog, but there really isn't much avoiding the blog look I fear. As I find time I'll try to submit.

I like the idea Mark, and you have done a great job with it. It will be interesting to follow.
