Eldorado Canyon SP update
I visited Eldorado Canyon this morning and was surprised that the color is gone, gonzo, kaput! The trees are either bare or rust-colored; so if you were thinking of shooting there this fall, forget it. I decided to shoot some pics of Eldorado Creek with a few fallen leaves and have attached one of those.

The sumac along the Mesa Trail from the Eldo side peaked on 10/1. There is still some good red color left. The cottonwoods near the Mesa trail are either at peak or just past.

Thanks Dave! I was up at Eldorado last week and noticed that most of the trees surrounding the creek were rust colored....I hoped that some would still turn I guess not.

I was around the Doudy Draw Trail Oct 1st and noticed the massive amount of red sumac on the Mesa Trail.... in fact I remember seeing a photographer taking pictures around 7ish...maybe it was you! Luckily I found a large patch of sumac where I was located and snapped away. Some pics

As of yesterday the Mesa Trail still had some good colors as you can see HERE. Although I'm not sure what the storm did to them yesterday afternoon.

Last friday I went up to Chautauqua and the patch of trees near the base of the flatirons were a green/yellow color. Managed to go up there today and most are bare.... the wind must have done a number on them.

Michael,

I have been to Chautauqua, but never Elderado or the Mesa Trail. Those water shots with the fall colors are awesome! :toast:

Do you have to go off trail to find the stream?

Thanks
