I was pleased with the tips I received about waterfalls on the trip - this was my favorite from one of our stops.

Pat,
Nice job on this one. Nice exposure and comp. I love the green moss on the rocks, and that old log laying along the upper left of the stream. My only nit is the stick/branch in the lower left hand corner. I would have removed that at the scene if possible. It looks like a lot to clone out (at least for my skill level). Another option would be to crop the bottom, maybe up to the bottom of the large rock (just above the green grass), although I do like that grass!
Pat,
Nice work on this! I too sometimes do a little "gardening" with the twigs that can be moved easily without disturbing too much. It saves on cloning later! I know nature is inherently messy, but I don't mind a little cleaning up for such a pretty waterfall.
Great use of the word gardening here, I'm going to remember that. I'm guilty as well...
Pat, The water treatment on this shot is excellent, and the middle part of the frame is superb. I would suggest a crop to 4x5 on this to remove the bottom stick and some of the top of the scene, leaving the eye to take in the middle. Well done overall!
I will echo the observation above. I am not sure on the croping, but help the viewers eye focus on the central focus is important. The exposure here is really good!
Thanks for all the tips! I'll have to play around with it. The suggestions are very helpful. I'm having trouble with my clone tool - was going to try to clone the branch per everyone's advice, but I guess the layer is locked and haven't been able to use it in a while. I'll keep working on it!
