This image, taken 3 weeks ago whilst on Arran, is a digital blend of two separate processes of the same RAW file - one processed for te foreground rocks, and one for the sky.

The view is the sunset over Kintyre, as seen from the Isle of Arran.

There was a fishing boat chugging up the channel, fighting against the current. Due to the 15 second exposure time this came out os a little dark blur, so I've cloned that out.

EOS 350D, 15secs @ f22, 27mm, 0.9 and 0.3 ND grads.

Cheers,

I know nothing about landscapes Michael, wish I had the eye for them... I like this, particularly the tones in the water.

Super colours and textures. I think a sharp, fishing boat in the distance on the rhs, would provide a useful counterpoint to the f/g elements.

Lovely colours and good forground interest Michael  agree with Phil that a little mid-ground interest would make it even better

Thanks for the comments folks. It's a shame that the fishing boat in the shot was so blurred, because it was perfectly placed in the distance on the rhs.

Cheers,
