Canon 20D, 100-400@320, f7.1, iso400, I will admit to 'adding' some sky in front of the swan

Thanks for the comments on the Heron - most appreciated. Whilst on the subject of Flight I thought I would see what you made of this taken last year ? Swans are my favourite birds for flight shots so cant wait to get to Welney sometime 'soonish'.

You have certainly got the knack of these flight shots Terry. Another cracker and beautifully cropped.

Nicely taken shot Terry, although i think you have shot yourself in the foot, by posting this 'after' your superb heron flight shot {a very hard act to follow  }.

Nice one

I like the pose of the bird but feel its not critically sharp

Thanks everyone, most appreciated as usual

"I like the pose of the bird but feel its not critically sharp" Dave, thanks, I had a worry about exactly that and wondered what other people thought, you confirmed my suspicion :toast:

Great pose, but agree it is not critically sharp, and I don't subcribe to the 'another round of USM' club I'm afraid... still a nice image to view...
