Canadian Tree Porcupine
D200 w. Nikon 18-200 VR @ 200mm
1/30 sec @ f5.6 IS0 1250 handheld

Another one from my trip to North America in July. Met this chap in very poor, early morning light and managed to grab a couple of shots before he made off. Taken at Moraine Lake in the Alberta Rockies.

fantastic - looks like my wife in the morning!!!! i must show it to her.

well, i remember coming across an armadillo in ecuador once in similar light, it was afer a very long day and my batteries let me down at the dritical moment, autofocus taking far too long to do it's job. nice to see you did a lot better than me in similar circumstances.

i like it a lot.

Nice to see something a little more unusual! The crop works well, although I think I'd clone out the reddy-brown leaf (?) bottom right.
