The Fall Colors Contest page is now live! You can see it here, or reach it through the Events page.
A couple of quick notes:
1. The submission deadline is a little later than in past years (Nov. 11) - we know that there's still good color out there, especially in Utah and Arizona and we want to allow as much time as possible for capturing images.
2. PLEASE read the information on the contest page carefully, especially the note about preparing thumbnails.
3. I won't be available to post images from Oct 9-21. If you submit images during this time, I'll get them posted on the 22nd. Thanks for your patience!
Now let's see those images!

Rick, that banner looks nice and I can't wait to view everyone's best of fall 06 images. The ESS gallery hasn't had many fall images from out west posted. At least not near as many as I would've expected. Maybe this contest is what people have been waiting on.
Jody - except for venues like the State Capitol or the current Great Sand Dunes exhibit, we haven't historically limited images to Colorado (when it was CNP) or the RMNP states now.
Last year's fall colors contest was open to images from wherever; so I just kept it the same this year. The only limitation was/is that the photographers be members/participants here. The mindset being that the contest is for RMNP photogs, no matter where our travels take us.
We can always revisit that for future contests if folks feel strongly about it.
