Went past Dead Creek this afternoon and saw a large flock of snow geese in flight at the far end. This flock was the only ones I saw. Couldn't tell if others were on the ground since the corn wasn't cut yet. Didn't have time to photograph.

I drove by Dead Creek mon am....saw good size flock on harvested corn piece a little north of dead creek. Saw good numbers in the air and some in the distant fields. Talked with a photographer who was there sat sun and mon.....said some flight opportunities but that was about it. I will be coming back from Albany on friday and will swing by again to check status.

I drove through Dead Creek today. The geese were in the far field, so I could not tell how many there were. Didn't see any in the air. There was one Norther Harrier hunting the fields, some Great Blue Herons around, but that's it. It's always a crap shoot as to where they will be. On the plus side, the foliage was beautiful in the area. I drove to Middlebury from there and it was nice all the way. Once I got into the higher elevations, the leaves were mostly gone. There are strong winds today, and rain tomorrow, but hopefully some of the foliage will hold out. I will be there at least one day this weekend, maybe both. Hope to run into some of you there!
