Not in the northwest, but wanted to share something from my most recent trip to Kauai. On the way to the North Shore - Kilauea Lighthouse.
The Lighthouse Board asserted that a first order light at Kilauea Point, the northernmost point of the inhabited Hawaiian Islands, would serve as a landfall light for ship traffic from the Orient.
Kilauea Point, a narrow, lava peninsula protruding from the northern shore of Kaua`i, was purchased from the Kilauea Sugar Plantation Company in 1909 "for the consideration of one dollar". The station was established in 1913 and has been inactive since 1976.
RGB Levels, limited shadow recovery, contrast boost using USM, Mark's super duper web sharpening trick.
GUTS:
Nikon D2X

ISO 250
