I havent posted for a few weeks as i have either been stuck behind a PC or hiking,Looking at new mountain regions and areas for the winter and next spring,Last sunday saw me standing on the summit of a 2500mtr mountain in the Swiss Alpes, not high by Alpes standards but felt like everest standing on top with the ground falling away all around,This was a big deal for me as i am mr vertigo,A stunning area and a good one for ibex next year,I have also been investigating different areas of the Jura range and have found some good areas for chamois and have been after these for a few days,They have to be the hardest things to get near making roe look easy and have only 1 half reasonable image for my efforts so back again tomorrow until i crack it,First thing today i was walking to one of the meadows where the chamois have grazed for the last couple of days and this young male ibex came up the cliff and onto the path in front of me,stopped for a couple of frames and dissapeared back from where he came,Hardly any light as the sun had yet to rise above the distant alpes so had to use the 70-200 at F2.8 and remote release

Worth getting dizzy for Dave. Lovely shades of colour and a smashing looking animal indeed.
Like the way the two sets of foliage frame the Ibex

Perhaps a tad central - wish he was looking into a little more space.. That said I still love the image and the habitat!
