Can someone please recommend a good online or local photo lab for high-quality digital prints in a short time frame?
I've used Pictopia.com in the past, but they do not accept JPEGS.
I'd prefer an online one where I can store my images, and order them quickly as orders come in. I don't have thr time or printer to print them myself.
Thanks -

Costco does a great job if you like Fuji Crystal Archive paper with a max of 12x18. You'd be suprised how many "professional" fotographers use them.
I guess you'd have to define HIGH QUALITY...but I suggest you give them a try at least once.

MPIX.com is great and you can store them there also. They use Kodak Endura paper. I've used them for a couple of years and the customer service is great. Shipping is very fast...I think $6 for 3-5 days and $10 for overnight no matter how much you order.

Jeremy - I'd love to see a print or two of yours at the first photoshop get together.. I've been thinking myself of maybe doing this instead of all of the printing I do.. the large stuff of course will still go to Hudon Printing Inc..
I have got good results from Costco. They offer Fuji Crystal Archive in gloss or luster. You can store your images online, and they accept jpeg or tiff. If you are going to use them, download the color profiles for the store you are planning to use. Convert your images to that profile (glossy or luster) in Photoshop and preview it. Then upload your jpegs with that profile embedded. When you order your prints online, specify no auto color adjust so they will "honor" your profiles, otherwise, they will probably adjust your prints. You cannot specify no auto color adjust if you are going to have them mailed to you and you won't have the correct profile because they process mail orders at some east coast lab. You only have color control on prints you pick up.
If you have to have the prints mailed to you, I would leave sRGB profile in the files and hope for the best.

If you want your prints 8x10 or bigger and on mat paper, send the file to me, I'll keep them on file in my computer, and will print them out and send them to you.
I charge $20 for 8.5x11 & 11x14, $30 for 13x19 and 17x22 and $40 for 20x30 and 24x36. Shipping included.
i.e., If you want an "11x14" print, it has to be printed on a 13x19 piece of paper so I'll charge $30.

Thought I would mention the Slide Printer in Denver - http://www.theslideprinter.com/ I used to have them scan slides occasionally for me to print, and now they will work with digital files. Their "super gloss" prints were amazing.

Mpix does a very good job with color. Haven't been too impressed with the B&W, with the exception of portrait work.
Has anyone used the Metallic paper at the MPix.com place? ? And just what is their option of "on matte board" ?
Thanks for all the great suggestions!
I'm looking mainly for 8x10 and larger from edited files.

I've used Digicraft in Portland ( www.udevelop.com) and have been pleased with the results (they were recommended to me by this forum). They make Chromira prints on Fuji Crystal Archive paper (matte or glossy). You can establish an FTP account and send 'em your files. In my experience, I've been able to call and talk to the staff to discuss what they're seeing in my uploaded files versus what I intended, and they can suggest adjustments based upon their knowledge of the printer profile and paper. They're fairly quick on turnaround.
