Hi John,

Having never visited Scotland, yet. This image makes me very eager to go indeed.

A fine image of a beautiful location.
I like the way the trees and mountain top balance each other.

I like this shot but feel it could be better by trimming the open water off the bottom, say about 1cm (?) screen size

I'm surprised that Tom didn't advocate trimming it to a pano format. I think it would work very well without most of the sky and having the base start with the reeds.

A good solid shot that has plenty to see.

Hi I like it and I hope you don't mind but if you do I will remove it but I have given it a slight tweek in Nikon nx and a slight crop.

Phillip.

I personally like it with or without the crop. I do think Philip has way over saturated it though.

Nice scene John. Really makes me want to get to Scotland soon.

Hello John
Lovely image, very peaceful. I think Rob is correct about the over saturation.
Best wishes

Agree with cropping a little from the bottom and I think Phillip has over saturated his version. However back to your origial image, I think it is a 'cracker'

I didn't see the pano crop ( I see in 3:1) but thking John suggestion I cropped it to pano-start(2:1) and quickly played with the levels of the sky to increase the depth in it.

This has tonnes of potential and the orginal is a good capture

Like this shot a lot. I also think a little bit off the bottom would improve it a bit but I'm not sure about losing any of the sky as I like the clouds (hey I'm strange - what can I say  ) but this is a shot I'd be more than happy to have taken. Also like Toms pano as well so this shot definitely looks to have a lot of potential.

Thanks for sharing

The original and the pano work for me. Lovely light and great location.

Hi Guys
thanks for your constructive comments and I do not mind anybody playing with my pictures.
In my opinion Philip has went over the top with Saturation. Tom has presented a very nice picture. At first I was going to make it a Pano but I really liked the ripples of water in the foreground.

I like the orginal image minus 1 cm from the bottom as Tom suggested. Phillip's modification is way over the top IMHO, The pano crop also works.

Smashing shot from an uncommon viewpoiint< I can't recall seeing another from this perspective. I can almost hear the wind and smell the heather as I look at it, well done
