After the heavy rain of yesterday, I went to Craigmore pumping station, where the island's treated sewage enters the sea. Usually a good place for unusual gulls, but on this occasion I was treated to this male Merganser trying to swallow the large Wrasse it had caught. All the while he was having to keep diving to avoid the gulls trying to rob him of his catch. Perseverance won, and he eventually swallowed it.

Punky hairdo good shot Phil of something I have never seen, a little larger in the frame would improve it for me but I do like tight shots so that may not be to everyones taste

nice shot. the composition woks for me as i like the ripples in the foreground. If anything I'd like just a touch more space on the right
