Got this shot of a couple of lady Big Horns in the Thompson canyon today, I love it when they are on the skyline.
Rocky Mountain NP was devoid of elk today though, must be post rut and they are hiding in the woods again. It's quiet in them thar woods!

Nice!
I'd put a very hefty wager that RMNP isn't devoid of elk! But I know what you mean.

Nice shot. I was thinking of going up Monday. Hope it is not to quiet then.

Dan, you are the elk expert, let me know what you find, I'll be up there Monday too but hiking not filming so wont have the chance to scout around. Good luck, hope you see more than I did. I did see a coyote in Horseshoe park (there was a pack of 6 there a couple of weeks ago), and one mule deer. The big horns were down in the Thompson canyon.
