It appears to have a strong cyan cast on my screen but that could be down to monitor differences. I would clone out the blurred stick that pierces the end of his nose as I think it's distracting.

Hi Sean,
Nice shot but I agree about the blured stick by the nose.

Hi John, Graham
Thanks for your comments, I agree with them and thought I should revisit my RAW file and reprocess it with a little bit more thought than I did yesterday evening. The shot was taken in low light levels and I initially did my RAW conversion using the 'As Shot' White Balance which does produce a rather cool and blue hue. I tried some conversions at different colour temperatures and decided the optimum was at about 4400 which I felt gave the image a warmer colour balance without looking unnatural. I then did the cloning as you suggested, quite obvious when pointed out to me but I missed it on my first look at the shot.
I will post my revised attempt, I think it is an improvement, thanks again for the feedback.
cheers

Here is the revised image, slightly warmer and brighter than my first effort.
What a difference,A totally different feel to the image,Sometimes we dont see things with our own images which is where the forum really works-proper constructive critique turns an average image into a cracker
Hello Sean
I totally agree with Dave, we very often miss the obvious in our own images. This second post is much better, and makes an excellent stag image.
Best wishes
Phil
