I was walking down by the James River (not too far from my new house) and while there isn't enough color in the trees to make them really interesting, there is color in some of the leaves that have been falling.

Hi Tim, hope all is well in the new place! Now I know why you didn't wave when I honked a few weeks ago while driving by your old place in Springfield.
You have some nice elements in this shot and I like the motion created by the light patches in the water. Overall, I think this one substantiates what you said, there isn't enough color in the trees yet to get excited about. Thanks for posting, I'm looking forward to seeing some great fall shots from you!
I'm facing a move next Summer, so I don't envy you that, but congratulations on a new place. This has a nice static/dynamic blend, and it's nice to see the touches of color. Hope you find some beautiful color this fall.

Beautiful Tim! Really nice, rich color and I like the subject and comp you've chosen - a lot to explore in the frame. Can't wait to see more from the area around your new home...looks like there should be no shortage of subjects to point a camera at, or just enjoy.
Tim, I recently ran across a similar comp but got distracted by my current project before I got around to posting it. I'm pleased with mine but all in all I think I like the motion blur you''ve got going a little bit better.
