I heard about this quite some time ago. Wasn't sure who the sale was made to though. I believe every single print was 40x50 or larger.

Its nice to see a business are buying landscape photographs, hopefully this might encourage people who work at these companies to buy landscapes photographs as apposed to paintings for themselves no matter who's shots they are.

A good reminder that often the best customers for art prints are corporations... Work It, Baby!!

I hadn't heard much about John for a while thought to check out his web site. He certainly seems to have the knack for marketing. His web site has a corporate area that talks about how his staff can assist in framed photo presentations matching the environment and even hang the photos. Looks like from his events calendar he is quite busy with his slide shows and book signings. Wonder if the ol guy actually gets out and does serious photo taking these days?

I dunno about prints, but his "Then and Now" book with WH Jackson is almost ubiquitous on the Colorado's domestic coffee tables. I'm a real estate phoptographer, shooting an average of 15-30 virtual tours a week, and I bet I see that book in at least one-quarter of the homes I visit. It's as popular as Ansel Adams prints. It must be part of a conditioned reflex among suburban homebuyers: you buy a new home on outlying land that was a farm just five years ago, and you read this book and tut-tut about how the state is changing fast. Wonder why?

Good for Fielder. 400+ prints! Geez it would have been nice if they'd have "spread the wealth" a bit to other worthy Colorado photographers. (*whine*) I wonder if they're all unique images, or repeats for different offices. Probably not many photographers with 400+ solid unique images though.
