It's been over 6 years since we've had any changes in NPN membership price structure or membership options. Our updated membership page is now online.
Here is an over view of the changes;
1. The price of new membership is now $49 per year, or $129 per three years.
2. We now offer a free 30-day trial membership that we will be actively promoting - details here.
3. As per our recent discussion, we now have a 1-year donor membership option. For $59 a year, we will donate $20 to a nature/wildlife conservation organization of your choice, keeping the effective price of NPN membership at $39 a year when you elect to give. details here
4. Until November 1, the price of NPN membership renewals will remain at the old rate - $39 per year or $99 per three years. We invite all current members to extend their membership before the price increase - RENEW NOW!
Thanks to all for your support over the years. We hope you like the new membership options and look forward to your continuing participation!

what about lifetime memberships?
Will be adding that option again at some point.

Do you think you will recover the money lost due to people who won't renew due to the exhorbitant price? Some of us don't use the portfolio, or your hosting, or care about prizes. $50 is too much just to be able to post every 48 hours.

Doug, like all of the other products we buy or services we subscribe to, "value is in the eye of the buyer." While some may feel that $49 for an annual NPN membership is "exorbitant," others will see it as an excellent value - member testimonials.
Member or not, we look forward to your continuing participation in the NPN forums and galleries!
My 3-year renewal is on its way to you, along with a request for the NPN Field Cards.
Earlier this month I spent a few days in the Bishop Creek area of the Sierra with several NPN members. We had a grand time making photographs and loafing around the campfire. I have also met other members whom I now count as good friends, as well as collegues. I would not have had these opportunities without NPN. The value of NPN, in my opinion, is much greater than the 'tangibles' of portfolios or posting images: It is also about 'community' and 'encounter'. One cannot put a 'dollar' value on that!
My membership at NPN has been foremost in my mind lately. I intend to renew soon. It's money well spent and I am proud to be part of the community. Another priority is to get my E-mail working again.
