Bridge to color
Morning shot of a hiking trail bridge in Big Canoe, GA and some early season color transitions. Thanks for looking.

Nice early morning image, the bridge leads the eye to the background. Looks like a great place to visit and spend time with the camera. Thanks for sharing!

Wayne - this looks like a really nice area. The bridge is pretty cool and I'm sure the trees will really compliment it when they completely turn colors.

The thing I find most distracting in this image is that the top 1/3rd is so bright when compared to the bottom 2/3rds. Maybe a different time of day would have lessened this issue, but as is it's a difficult problem to control - especially in a single shot.

I'm not sure I would have been brave enough to have attempted a blended image of this scene (well, I would have tried it - it's just that I might not have been able to make it look convincingly real).

Thanks for posting!

Thanks for the comments guys. Since I'm continually trying to learn (understand) what works and doesn't, do you think if the light had reached the base of the trees on the distant shore it would have worked better?

I was actually trying to create the sensation of "transition" from the viewer, both of darkness to light and seasonal transition. Later in the fall color season would have been better for sure. Most shots have a "bright" subject but in this case maybe the strong diagonal transition detracts from my goal. Thanks for the honest perspective Tim! :wavey:
