Should I post another Deer or not? decided to post this instead...
Used the 300/4 as my 180 is awaiting service, my usual tech here, grey diffuser to reduce and soften the sunlight, fill from gold reflector, bg shielded to reduce highlights.
Just noticed I seem to have picked up a few jpg compression artifacts in the bg..
May post the deer later in the week.
All the best

Nicely composed but I'm unsure about the OOF green blob. On my monitor though it looks a tad greeny-yellow and I wonder what it would look like with the whites of the mushroom a crisp white. Did you do any without the gold reflector? A lot of effort and well executed shot though.

Hi Phil
Super image and good composition - I think I agree with John re the use of the gold relector as it detracts a little IMO from the strong red and clean whites the Fly Agaric are noted for!
Cheers... I uploaded the wrong version, one of those senior moments that seem to be getting more frequent...
Have changed it now to one where I corrected the cast from the reflector slightly.
Apologies.

Hi Phil,
A very nice image. However I do find the OOF green leaf abit distracting. Maybe would have been better with just the orange and gold leaves to reflect the colours of Autumn.
Sorry to a bit negative. Regards Chris.

No need to apologise, I do believe I agree with you... I had actually missed it, trying to work quick whilst re-establishing the reflector and diffuser which get getting blown away by gusts of wind. I am actually very happy when faults are found cause, gives you something to work towards to improve...

Nice composition, good autumn colour, I like the low angle, I think I would prefer it without the foreground green leaf. Still a fine shot though.
cheers

They've been and gone up here, since about three weeks.

Really like how your careful use of reflectors and diffusers has spotlit the toadstool so well.It really makes the subject 'pop.'
Still a fine shot as is, but would possibly be even better without the green leaf in the foreground.
Lovely shot a real autumn beauty.
