Any one know anywhere good in Somerset to get a few shots? I will be visiting Hinkley Point near Bridgewater. I saw a program once on Starlings somewhere in Somerset, where they mass in great numbers, any one know where that is?
Thanks again for any help

Hi Brian
It hasn't really settled yet and it can vary a little from one year to the next, but it is likely to be in the Ham Wall area on the Somerset Levels. Should be able to pinpoint it by mid November when the roost is usually around two million birds.

Hi Brian,
I lived in somerset for a long time in the bridgwater area (no e in the bridge) and know many good spots.
I highly recommend westhey (http://www.somersetwildlife.org/reserve_4.php) has large flocks of starlings and is generally a very nice spot. Also watchet just along the coast from Hinkley is nice mainly for waders and sea gulls.
