Anyone know of any online custom calendar sites? I did one last year with Shutterfly, and while it was nice, I'd like to find a less expensive one.

I've looked at a couple and two stick out - Cafe Press and Lulu. I've had t-shirts made at Cafe Press and they were good to work with.

Any others I'm missing?

Thanks.

I've settled on Lulu. I just received my second and final proof today. While not as slick as some you see, they're pretty nice.

I got a proof back from Lulu and the images were right on the money as far as exposure. The one thing I didn't like was the shipping costs for one calendar--it depends on your location but mine was over $11! I was planning on showing a calendar to quite a few friends up here who have wanted me to make a local calendar and if anyone wanted one to buy it online through Lulu but not at that cost for shipping! I'm planning on trying another one that is real cheap but you know what they say about getting what you pay for. I'm going to try it anyway and will let you know how it goes. Randy

So with Lulu, can you just order say, 20 calenders and not sell through them? I'm looking at making one for my dive friends and to sell through the local dive shop.

I made a calendar with LULU about a month ago. You can order them for yourself and they only charge you the cost for making the calendar. You can set your royalty as high as you want to sell online through their online store. There are group discounts as well.

Here is the address to my calendar.

as far as Lulu and shipping. When I first ordered, I didn't pay attention to the different shipping options and ended up paying over 11 dollars as well. I called and it was then pointed out that there are different shipping options when placing an order. I used regular postal service and it was then only a couple of bucks.

You may also want to look into calendars from Costco. They're very inexpensive and ship quickly. The photo quality is decent, though not on-par with the calendars you're used to seeing in National Park visitor centers. I've sold a few to clients who were happy with the product.

Okay, got my first calender back from Lulu today and I have to say it's not that great. Lots of streaks in the photos and the paper stock is pretty thin. I ordered one more with some changes but I don't have high hopes. Might have to look elsewhere.

I had tried lulu, but ended up going with cafepress.com, but still looking.
