I will be in Boston on business for a week and hope to get out this weekend to photograph the autumn colors and/or birds. I was thinking of driving North along the coast, but would appreciate any suggestions on destinations, or URLs that might be useful. Even suggestions as to where to see and get close to waders, loons, raptors or preferably bald eagles would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

I would head up to Plum Island in Newburyport. Not sure about Bald Eagles, but they generally have plenty of other raptors there. Salisbury Beach a little further north is supposed to be good too. Both are probably less than an hour from Boston.
Well I didn't do Plum Island, that just seemed to easy with the beautiful weather, so we drove to Mt. Desert Island instead. I saw a number of bald eagles up close, but never when I was looking for them :-( Camera not ready, wrong lens, manual focus, etc... I had to settle for a close-up shot of a loon and some fall foliage. Can be seen here:
