Just a quickie before I head off to catch the Mitten Crab boat on a dark and dingy Thames....

With the big event tonight (Unfortunately I can't be there with being on the boat and not sure of our return time etc) there are a few more Highly commended images here;

thanks for posting those phil. the ducks at dawn is a stunning image. absolute belter. althought the others are good images, i think they leave me a little cold and aren't really anything we haven't all seen before. i'm surprised at the lion hunting image. although its superb, the content is a little repetitive and i think at least for my part i have 'lion catching stuff fatigue syndrome'. would be interested to know if anyone else is suffering.

Yep agree with you there Mark,I love the golden leaf monkey as i have been to Assam 3 times in hope to see these and still have zip,But the french bird at dawn image is a stunner,I have seen better lion catching prey images so was suprised to see the Joe macdonald image getting thru,Cant wait to see the others
