Roe Deer Buck.
Canon 10D, Canon 100-400mm L I.S. @ 250mm, 1/60 sec @ f5.6, iso 400,
Al servo AF, Aperture priority, Gitzo 1548/Arca B1. Raw.

Neatimage,Levels adjustment,Low saturation increase-possibly +6 on master channel, aprox 3% crop off right hand edge.

Sat quietly, shortly before sunrise, in an area I know are frequented in the rutting season by a pair of Roe Deer.
No hide used but sat in front of a gorse bush with an army scrim net over my head  and one over lens and tripod.

Hi,
This is one from August last year, where I spent many hours photographing and watching a pair of Roe deer during their rutting season. An animal I particularly enjoy photographing.

Hi Justin
Your great shot gives me heart after two unsuccessful seasons chasing just this kind of image. I love the muted colours you have captured.
