Cold Creek Springs
Myself and Phil Kuglin had a very nice sunrise at Trillium Lake (will post later after due processing) followed up by a run up Cold Springs Creek. I think we were late by about 1 week due to many leafs being on the ground and fewer in the trees. Sill the golden colors in the Mt. Hood forest blew me away - I had no idea there was that much color.

This is one from Cold Springs Creek. I used the marker technique from last night's photogeek seminar to set black and white points in this shot and it really transformed it. Thanks again for that techniqe being explored last night !!

Pretty wild John. It was a fun day playing hookie :)

Very nice John. I like the depth of field choice you made.

John,
It is a little for cold creek springs. I went up there with Phil and my brother the first week of October a couple of years ago. we hit it perfectly. Nice shot. It shows that you did do the marker technique. Did you use the threshold tool?

Can you remind me about that tool? I only set 2 points and then aligned black and white points based on those 2 points. It worked great and improved the contrast as well.

John,
Check out Mark Hudon's tutorial in the tips page. http://pacificnw.naturephotographers.net/tips/color/index.htm
