Lucky for me, I was also able to add a smaller monitor to the order for the family room so the wife isn't complaining one bit about the expenditure!

I have that exact monitor. When you plug it in right out of the box it is really bright. After I calibrated it it looked dim at first but I got used to it and it really works good.

I have 2 of the 213T which are really sweet monitors. They also are really bright out of the box but after calibrating, I've been very happy with the results.
