Bald Eagle (c) Portrait
Hi Everyone,

I haven't posted an image here for some time but here is an image of a Bald Eagle I took whilst testing some new (well replacement anyway) equipment at Cotswold Falconry Centre. Basically I would like some comments on the pose of the bird: Does the pose work or not for you? (I like it but I took the image and may therefore be biased  ). The technical details are:

- Camera: Canon EOS 1D Mk IIN
- Lens: Canon 70-200mm F4L
- Aperture: f5 - 1/3
- Shutter Speed: 1/160s
- ISO: 200
- Support: Handheld
- PostProcessing: Levels, curves, USM, Cloned out small red mark on head (a bit of ex-chicken) and on beak

Thanks for looking

Adrian
Many thanks for looking

Hi Adrian

Nice exposure - but I'm not keen on the pose and find it a little too central!

Good to hear you're back in buisiness.
Pose works for me but ideally I'd prefer the bird positioned slightly more towards the upper left corner.

I think I'd like to see the bird slightly higher in the frame and a bit more of the eye o/w fine portrait.

Thanks everyone for the comments. As I said I was basically setting up the camera in a relatively safe enviroment so wasn't actually expecting to get anything. I will take your comments in and hopefully get something slightly better next time.

Great exposure with the whites and blacks.

Agree about having him to the upper left, to help with the direction he's looking.

They are awesome to look tho :toast:
