Another Richmond 'stag'
Another 'stag' from my visit to Richmond last Sunday.

Canon 1D MkII + 300f2.8 IS iso 500 1/60 at f3.5 (Again the lighting was overcast and being under the canopy very cool, so I warmed it a little)

Hi David,

Nice shot. However, in my opinion I find the foreground tree on the left a little distracting.

I agree about the tree in the middle of the frame, still a nice shot though that shows off hte surroundings well

Love the shooting angle and the stag but can't make my mind up about the tree. I think it does tend to act as a barrier for the photo effectively giving it an 'edge' - you could crop just to the left of it and the photo would still be the same. That said it is nice and just imgine if all the leaves were autumn coloured!

Regards

Hi David,
Nice behavioural shot of the stag in his surroundings.
The roughly equal amounts of leaves and grass at the top and bottom of the frames works really well.
The central tree doesn't bother me at all.

A fine shot of this stag in the environment, I know that stag and place well  , the tree doesn't bother me, and I think you have added just the right amount of warmth.
