Howdy all! I was just going through all of my snapshots from this fall's trips (all 1008 of them!), and thought I'd post a few of the good friends I was fortunate to come across in my travels, all RMNP folks! More to come....
Rick D. using his new invention. A camera that wirelessly sucks files off of another digital camera. Either that, or he's just checking his hair in the other lens, hard to say!
Darran K showing off the fine shorts that he's come to make famous. Keep in mind that I'm standing here in long pants and lots of fleece at the same time! HA! He was also the smart one that remembered to bring his tripod umbrella (mine was at home in the basement). We needed them a lot those two days!
On the second day of constant rain, Darren was kind enough to be a 4WD guide, and led me up to some great spots that I'd never been. We camped up on Gray Copper Gulch (nothing but fog, wind and rain, no photos ), and then drove up to Corkscrew Pass, and finally Hurricane Pass.
Some awesome shelf roads, and not another vehicle in sight! Once we got up to the top of Hurricane Pass and looked down over Lake Como, we could see the rest of the road was drifted over by three feet of snow. Such a cool place. I'll definitely be getting back up to these spots in the summer!

Great set of images, Brent, thanks for posting. Gosh with that hat, TonyL looks like he's from Russia . And, I never thought of it, but that tripod umbrella is a great idea, beats the heck outta all those nylon camera covers.

Looks like a good time. Which lake did you start off at? Was Lake Como still showing it's blue green's?
