I though that I would remind everyone that Hunt's Photo and Video is having their annual camera show in their Melrose, MA. store next weekend Fri - Sun, Oct 27 - 29. They will have some special prices on many things but most important they will have many factory reps in the store and some will be running seminars during the three days. I am told the seminars will include sessions by: wacom tablets, nikon NX software, nik filters, the new sony Alpha, Colorvision Spyder 2 PRO, epson prographic printers and a few others.
If you expect to be anywhere near Boston that weekend you might want to drop by and see what's up. If you are comng from out of town let me know and maybe I can join you.
I'm sure you can get a schedule if you email Gary Farber at

Jim: Thanks for letting me know. Gary hasn't been too communicative lately. Guess he knows I'm broke. There are a couple of things on my wish list (not a tripod) and if I can get away I may take a ride on either Friday or Saturday and then go on up to Magic Wings. Hope to see you there.

Patricia,
I'm not sure if there is a deal on tripods but I'm sure Gary can work something out!
