From Friday at WA Park Arboretum in Seattle. No photoshop here. This is the true story of a warm Fall season, I guess. Needless to say it captured my attention and I took the favor of a photo of this interesting contradiction.
Fun reading about the Silver Falls Trip and seeing all your photos. Hope you keep them coming for awhile.

This definatly tels the story of a warm spring. Right now I'm sitting in my backyard having coffee in the last of October.

Rhodies blooming now?!? Wierd. I like this one, but prefer a crop where the flower is more of an anchor on the bottom right part of the image.
Yes, Rick, it was weird. The Rhodie was a little limp from the couple days' of mist before, but just as bright pink as you see here. Good suggestion for another comp. I tried a few different angles but couldn't keep distracting FG objects out of the way. A horizontal shot would've put too much negative space to the left. And I wanted to preserve the structure of the Rhodie bush and its characteristic pattern of leaf growth. I'll have to go back for another look.
Anyone have thoughts about the DOF?
