Went down to do some bird photography and ended up with 10 minutes to take this pano before the heavens opened and I retired to the car. 1Ds mk11 28-70 lens at 50mm handheld containing 7 images hand stitched in photoshop. Final file size 291mb. ISO 200 1/60 at f8. Raw images processed in Capture One LE. Larger version here http://www.virtually-unlimited.co.uk/npn/uknp/ssp.jpg

Hi John, I can certainly sense the impending storm but I've looked at both versions and for me it doesn't work. There's no real focal point to the image and though the horizon is not directly across the middle, it still is a strong divide.
I'm a big fan of panoramics and stitched images and I can certainly see what caught your eye here as the stormy, moody seascape is too good a scene to resist.
However although the scene is quite dramatic I'd agree with John that a focal point would make the image a lot better and visually stronger.
On the full size version there is quite a noticeable join line towards the right-hand end of the image and a few dust spots that need cloning out.Thought I'd mention it in case you decide to make a big print, before noticing them.
