Well, sorry I missed the big outting at Silver Falls saturday. I've been planning a hike back into Green lakes for a while and the weather wasn't going to allow many more weekends in there this year...so I had to go.
This was taken this morning before we hiked back out. The lake was mostly like glass, and it was perty cold over night. Had some some Vodka to keep me warm though.
Green Lakes is situated smack dab in the middle of South Sister and Broken Top Mountain. I was sad to see that the lakes were actually not so green at all . It's a beautiful area, but unfortunately not so photogenic im my opinion.

Dude, this shot is great. Nice foreground, great reflection and nice background. What else could you ask for beside dramatic sky?! Well, OK, dramatic sky would really help but its still a very nice comp.
I agree, a very nice comp with some bad luck on drama in the sky. I good photo of that mountain.

Rick,
I knew the conditions weren't going to be condusive to good photo opps. When they forecast clear, offshore flow, That puts water on the fire. Nice shot for the conditions though.

Sounds like the effort put in didn't quite yield the results you wanted. More snow and ice would really make this shot sweet, and maybe a cloud. Missed you at the fall dude.
