This shot was from last year. I visited the gardens yesterday to check out the current color. It is still a week or two from it's peak. I plan to return again next weekend and then again the following. Anyone up for a morning visit to the gardens?

I wish I could, but I'm leaving for Utah Thursday for 10 days and I don't think my wife would be to happy about me going off shooting this weekend.

They open at 8AM for members otherwise it is 10AM. Depending on your membership you can bring a guest. Their site is Portland Japanese Garden.

Well I would love to be someones guest on Sunday cause I dont like waiting till 10 am to start shooting thats like lunch time for me!

I have a membership, and can bring 2 guests. I need to double-check that the guest bringing previlage extends to early entry of 8am. I will give them a call tomorrow.
