Mt Rainier REPOST
Please see my previous post under this subject, if you want to see a FLAT photo. This photo underwent a saturation push to reflect the colors that I saw late in the day (about three hours before sunset). The blue sky killed this photo with no clouds (I desaturated this a bit to keep from being tooooo blue).

Processing in Bibble, applied setting across all images, then stiched them together with a little blending to remove stich lines.

Levels to set white and black points.

The question: I know the comp on this sucks, but the colors on the hillsides really took me. Would you crop hard on the right to remove the stand of trees and the outwash areas, thus getting the mt. a little more off center, or not; or just toss it away? I was so embarrased from the previous post that I wanted to get something up fast.

Camera junk:
Nikon D2x
17-55mm @20 (times 6)
ISO 100
Manual F11, 250 sec

Do not despair. Techs are good, the comp is what it is, the colors are vivid, no stitch marks. I think your instinct is right, you've served this image up in its best aspect, and I wouldn't go cropping. Particularly nice little spot of light in the trees LLC. Now, go out and shoot some abstracts, indulge yourself in pure comp & design, you done good on this one. All IMHO of course. And keep posting.

Randy,
Don't be embarrased. The previous image didn't warrant that. I agree with what Eric says. The colors on the hill side are awesome and well processed. As for the crop keep it as is. IMHO!

Keep it, I think it will feel off balanced if you lose the left-side noble firs. It's a nice photo that you really can't do much else with unless you want to replace the sky

I second what my bro said. Let me know if you need to borrow a sky image
