Red kite stooping
Red kite shot at Gigrin last year. I was amazed to find no rings or wing tags on this bird - usually my better shots of the day all have adornments of some kind  I added a small strip of canvas as the tail was really tight on the top edge. Other than that it's full frame.

Nikon D2X 500mm f/4 AF-S hand held.

Hi John

Nice shot, lovely colours and a well framed flight shot.

I have not been to Gigrin before and it is on my 'To Do' list for this winter, I hope I get something half as good as this.

cheers

Excellent flight shot with great detail.... I might be tempted to add some canvas to the bottom as well, just that to me the wing seems a bit tight to the base, but stunning pose and the turn of the head takes it to another level....

Cracking shot full of action, and a non-taged Red Kite is a real bonus (anywhere!!). A bit tight down the bottom right but the image is full of potential for expansion in any direction.

Hi John
what a stunning shot and I agree about adding a little bit of canvas at the bottom.

Hello John
Superbly caught, and I agree about a little more added canvas at the bottom, but what a stunning image !
Best wishes

A real cracker John - agree it's a little tight, but still a 'stonker'

I'd agree with the consensus here - great shot but a little tight.
