Long's Peak color
With all the beautiful color you guys have been posting recently I decided to reach back a year to a shot I took early one very cold morning looking over some colorful aspens at Long's Peak in RMNP.

I hadn't processed this before because I felt it was a little tight and there wasn't as much detail as I wanted in the distant pines. Any thoughts?

Wayne, I like it! The aspens are great and the pines add interest. Lots of great color and saturation, its a keeper.

I think you've done a great job with the comp on this one Wayne. While it may be a little tight, there are so many elements to explore I seem to forget about that. I really like the rock and grasses in the fg - they really provide a nice anchor for this scene. The only thing that might improve this one is a little more sharpening. Great shot! :toast:

I really like this, Wayne. There's a lot of layers to keep the eye busy from rock and grass to green aspen to golden aspen to trees to mountain to sky! I think it's really majestic and that you should print it really big.
