Do any of you have reports of how the fall color is doing in Northern California? I'm particularly interested in the Lassen/Shasta/Chico areas.

Greg...

You might take a look at the CalPhoto Forum on Yahoo....

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/calphoto/

There have been recent discussions specifically about the areas you are interested in...

Take care,

Bill

Thanks for the pointer, Bill. That looks like a helpful group! I'll also follow up to this post if I do make it into the mountains this weekend.

I drove from Chico to Lassen Volcanic National Park on Hwy 32 today. The highway 32 corridor is at peak or just past peak this weekend. There are lots of patches of maples and dogwoods where the color is just fantastic. I drove through Lassen as well. There's a bit of color left at Manzanita Lake, but for the most part, the leaves are at least 50% gone.
