Upper McCord Creek Falls
Hi all, It's been a while since I've posted--I've been photographing really intermittently lately. Here's a picture from this last weekend at the bottom of Upper McCord Creek Falls. From this angle, it really looks like Fairy Falls on Wahkeena Creek.

The exposure might be a little off--my CRT is on it's last legs and is getting worse. I'm shopping around for an LCD now.

2 stop soft grad,
17mm @f16 and 4s
ISO 200
Canon 5D
MLU and remote release

Wonderful sharpness, staggering DOF, interesting shapes and play of light and dark in the rocks/vegetation on either side of the falls. I'd frame this one and show it proudly. Imagine what you could do with a decent monitor! Welcome back & keep posting.

Very nice. You are right, it does has a similar look to Fairy Falls.

Gorgeous! The water could use a little less blue/cyan IMHO, but it's a really nice image either way. :toast:

This is an awesome capture. Very serene and beautiful, the only minor thing I notice is the whitish/blueish area at the bottom of the screen, a bit distracting.

Looks great to me, maybe a bit less cyan but that is pretty minor on a shot as good as this

Really beautiful, Mike. I have to learn where this is, looks like an awesome place to photograph. From this perpective, this looks very much like Fairy Falls.

I forgot to mention I used a polarizer as well, but couldn't remove all the reflections from the moving water. The blue stuff at the bottom left is just highlights on the water blurred by the long exposure. I intentionally left some of the blue tint in there, but I might be a little much.

It is a difficult climb down into the canyon and up the creek (bring wading shoes/pants), but check out Brian Swan's waterfalls of the northwest website for the directions. The view from the trail has a lot of branches, etc.. in the way. Thanks for the comments, all!
