I have been busy all week taking clients around Bradgate for indivdual tuition so have had some good opportunities myself, the weather has been good for the most part and the light was lovely when I took this shot. He was thrashing around in the bracken and I just hit the shutter everytime he lifted his head.

As said the light is lovely,I am normally a big fan of your images with OOF foreground but feel there maybe just a tad too much in this image-love the tossed folage

Danny, I'd agree with the above. The light looks great, the subject is interesting but a little too much OOF foreground for my taste.
Good to see they're still active though - I hope to be there myself this weekend
Love the light, and the 'action' with the vegetation flying through the air.
As others have said, I think the OOF foreground is a bit too much here, and obscures too much of the deer (although I do like how the shape of the foreground perfectly frames the shape of the deer's body).

I think the problem with th OOF f/g is that the b/g is not as OOF. I wondered if you could apply some judicious GB to the b/g and blend it in more. Just a thought.

Hi Danny
I like the shot but I'm not keen on the OOF fg and I feel there is a colour balance issue, I appreciate the light is low but I find the overall image a little too red!

Yes, I agree with the above - just a little too much OOF foreground for me.
Best wishes
