Not Best But First
First of my captures from group outing at Silver Falls. Nikon, Tamron, Velvia f5.6, slight increase in brightness in PS. Comments?

It looks to have a cyan cast to me that sort of blends all the colors together.

did you use a polarizer? It looks like the blue sky is being reflected off the leaves (hence the cyan cast)

I agree with Ryan, some color correction will probably create more contrast between the color regions and reinforce the interesting patterns you captured.

Very interesting colors and patterns. I like the abstract look to the shot :toast:

Thanks folks, I thought I polarized but given that I was freezing due to equipment failure (jacket zipper....kind of a critical component on a cold early morning), maybe I didn't, I agree the light off the darker leaves is distracting, maybe I can learn to 'shop it out. Thanks Elizabeth, I'm coming to love the shapes of deciduous foliage.

& BTW this looks really lousy on my cheap monitor at work....do other posters lighten their images for web display?

Eric, I am guessing that this scan isn't doing justice to the photograph. The composition and color contrasts look interesting, but the colors are off and the jpg isn't sharp.
