Gyr Falcon with chicks
Hi All
picture taken recently Nome Alaska. 1D MK11n 300mm lens 1/400 sec F8 ISO 800. We got two weeks of poor weather. Cropped.

A cracking capture IMO. I like the watchful look of the mother, and it's well-timed to get both chicks tucking into the meat.

Nice one.

Hi John,

A super image! A sight very few are blessed with to, let alone be able to capture on film!

Hello John
It might have been poor weather, but that's a stonking shot.
Best wishes

300mm  What an experience. Shame about the awful weather, that's the kind of luck I have, but you still done a fine job.

Hi John I can really go off people you know,:jump:  especially when they have a superb image of one of my favourite raptors what a fantastic experience it must have been, a superb image I know you probably didn't have time but I would perhaps have tried a 81 a warmup filter on a few shots I have a few spare drop in filter holders with the filter already in 81A & B + a polariser, luckily they are the same size in all my big lenses.

Phillip.

You have to be pleased with that despite poor weather. Great capture John.
