Raining At Wahclella Falls With REPOST!
Got caught in a major down pour while trying to photograph the falls....so I hid under the little rock cliff thing down there and watched as the storm blew over......

Comments on this please since its not my typical style

Thanks

Darren

I think this is a neat image. It is dark, almost spooky or a heavy feeling.

Very moody, I like it. How about a crop from the bottom and left?

What the other two said. I don't think it's so much spooky, or moody, just a true rendition of our lovely NW. IMHO of course. Maybe it will look spooky & moody when I see it on my good monitor at home.

......and now that I look at it in my good mirror, I love the way it shimmers, it has a translucent quality that I fail equally to describe or capture. I actually think I like this image better with the riffle of water cropped out and the little rocky shore at LRC. IMHO & all subjective Y stuff.

I love the spirit in this shot, Darren. I could lose a little off the bottom and Left just to focus more on the trees/lea - but not too much. I really like this one.

The varying shades of green add a touch to the shot. Cropping in the left would definitely help.

Your typical day off in the PNW. Great shot Darrin.

Darren,
Way to show the PNW. Sunshine and bluebirds is not the PNW's true character! But this is! And congratulations on going to Wahclella and coming away with a spectactular shot that is not of the falls.

Oh yeah, My favorite crop is to take a bit off the right side of the image, just past the closest foreground bush. It distracts me a little because it looks like it's not connected to the ground--floating. This keeps the photo 3-D with the stream leading you in.
