EOS D60, Sigma 170-500@500, ISO 200.
Slightly cropped and noise ninja applied, USM.
Taken in the New Forest during the rut. Not sure about this one, so any comments and critique are welcome! Was trying for a wider view than a portrait.
I think this would work for me if there was another layer approx midway up ?

Hi Pete
Quite a large area with very little at the top but still works quite well!

I'd agree with th e others, perhaps just a little too much empty space but I'd have to applaud the attempt to do something different. Something I need to do more in my own photography I think.

Hi Pete
I agree with the the others here - just a bit too much space above the deer bfore the interest of the distant tree line. I suppose you could crop out some of that space and lower the skyline as it were.
I think it works reasonably well and you have handled the image very well, agree with Tom that another 'layer' would have been nice, but that is not really a possiblility, great pose from this majestic beast.
I agree with the above comments about the need for an extra layer. Still a very pleasing shot though. However, I think it might benefit from a touch of sharpening.
